What is porcelain stoneware?
Porcelain is a type of compact stoneware created from natural raw materials of mineral origin such as clays and feldspars. It is fired at over 1200ºC, resulting in almost zero porosity and such spectacular durability that it has become the product of choice for architecture and construction
Porcelain stoneware is considered to be any ceramic
material with a water absorption coefficient
equal to or less than 0.5%.
The absorption coefficient is particularly important because
it affects the physical properties of the product: the lower the absorption percentage,
the greater the resistance of the material.
All Rosa Gres products are made from porcelain stoneware
with an absorption coefficient of less than 0.1%.
Rosa Gres products have an absorption coefficient lower than that specified
by the standard for the porcelain stoneware category, which
means that they are among the most durable on the market.

manufactured at our plant in Vallmoll, Tarragona.
Integrated manufacturing system
We manufacture all Rosa Gres base pieces using the pressing method to obtain the perfect size and caliber. Thanks to this system, our base pieces can be installed with a narrower joint.
All Rosa Gres special pieces, steps, edges, channels, gratings and half-rounds, are manufactured by extrusion. This allows us to obtain much more robust, resistant and long-lasting pieces.
